Working With Children Check due 31 March 2017

Less than five weeks remain until the deadline of 31 March 2017 for all secondary school employees and teachers on the approved to teach list to provide their Working with Children Check clearance number. 

With over 90% compliance across the state we are asking for all individuals who have not yet applied for their WWCC clearance to do so as soon as possible. 

In order for you to continue to be employed, or to be eligible to seek employment, in NSW public schools beyond 31 March 2017, a valid Working with Children Check clearance must be provided to the department.

Once you receive your WWCC clearance number, please lodge it via the ESS portal by following the instructions below:
Step 1: Log into your Employee Self Service (ESS) portal.
Step 2: Select "My details", then select "My WWCC details".
Step 3: Enter your WWCC clearance number as issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian (e.g. WWC1234567E).
Step 4: Click "Save".
