STEM Scholarships - still time to apply

STEM Scholarships
Great news! There is a new closing date for the 2018 STEM Scholarships for Science and Mathematics. You now have up to 8 December 2017 to apply.

A STEM Scholarship for Science and Mathematics is your chance to teach in a high demand subject. As an approved primary or secondary teacher, you could get financial assistance while you study to become a science or mathematics teacher and be guaranteed a permanent position in a NSW public school!

We spoke to science teacher Edwina, and asked her what she likes about teaching science.

“It’s a great career opportunity as you get to learn yourself about science concepts and new research that is happening and you also get so share that research with your students that could in turn encourage them to become scientists.”

STEM Scholarships give you:
  • $5000 per year (12 months) of study
  • $2500 study completion grant
  • a permanent teaching position in a NSW public school in an agreed location, on completion of studies.
Don’t miss out on this great opportunity. Like Edwina, you can share the latest science research with future scientists.

Apply today!
