2015 In Review  

On March 25, 2016 we will celebrate our third year in business.  This past year brought many changes.  In 2015 we serviced over 100 client locations.  As we grow we are adding services and discovering what we want to be when we grow up!  The ONE SOURCE brand was refreshed last year as we tweaked our logo and launched a new website ( to reflect our expanded service offering from facility maintenance & repair to also include construction management and real estate brokerage.  After spending two years in our 2,000 SF location at 862 East Center Street in Wallingford, we moved to a larger 4,500 SF space located at 101 North Plains Industrial Road, also in Wallingford.

CT Economy: “How’s business, are you busy?”
As a new business in Connecticut, people are interested to know “How’s business, are you busy?” The truth is, business is good and yes we are busy, but like all of you reading this – I’m sure we could all be busier.  Through a lot of hard work and perseverance, our business is enjoying steady growth.  Sales in 2015 grew 350% over our volume in 2014 and we strategically continue to add real estate and facility service professionals to our team. The God’s honest truth is… it’s an absolute grind to do business in Connecticut – downright exhausting!  
Connecticut Economic Outlook 2016
Now in its 14th year, the 2015 Survey of Connecticut Businesses annual report by CBIA and BlumShapiro examined the near-term outlook, profitability, export activities, workforce, technology investments, and legislative priorities of Connecticut’s business community.  Highlights of their findings are shown in the images below:
The Bottom Line
Many of us point to Connecticut’s quality of life and the desire to work close to where we live as the main reason for staying in-state. However, we are slipping here. The vast majority of companies surveyed (70%) are somewhat or highly dependent on larger Connecticut companies for business, which raises concerns when tax hikes threaten to push large companies out of state.  Based on the survey results, companies are reporting profit but are “holding steady” unlike other parts of the country (or world) where growth abounds.  Based on the survey, policymakers can focus on the following issues to enhance business competitiveness by 2017.  OK, time to get back to work!
