IN THE NEWS

Brew HaHa is Back!

Did you attend last year's very successful 1st Annual Brew HaHa festival? Well this year it's back!

Just looking a little different this time around...

With COVID-19 restrictions in place, this year we will be hosting a Brew Haha themed event to help support local brewers. From September 21st - 27th, visit a participating PoCo brewery or purchase a drink or two to take home and you'll have the chance to win prizes and merchandise provided by PoCo Heritage! Throughout the week we will also be hosting contests related to Brew HaHa via our social media (@PoCoHeritage) and be sharing with all of you stories about our local breweries and their experiences navigating their businesses during the pandemic this year.

Stay tuned for more information and details.

What Am I?

Ever walked down the street and thought to yourself, hmm what is this? Ever browsed our object collection and been puzzled by some of things you saw? Well the confusion stops now!

Take part in our newest social media program "WHAT AM I" and get your brain working hard. Each week keep your eyes peeled for a post of an image featuring an object, place, photograph etc and try guessing what this unknown thing may be. Take part by commenting on the post with your response.

Want to start now?

A Socially Distant Visit

This week MP Ron McKinnon stopped by the Museum and Archives to visit Alex and Laura, our Canada Summer Jobs employees!

All geared up in masks and using a table to socially distance, Alex and Laura were presented with certificates of recognition for their participation in the grant program and for their invaluable contribution to PoCo Heritage! During the last month our wonderful new employees have been working hard on developing  PoCo Heritage's newest Art Walk, Educational Toolkits for students, our upcoming Brew HaHa event and much much more.
