'F Words' Exhibit Grand Opening!

Hear Ye Hear Ye! Please come join us for the opening of our new exhibit
'F Words: Port Coquitlam's Flu, Fire, Flood and Financial Fears'. The grand opening will be on Saturday, February 22nd from 1:00pm - 3:00pm!

This new exhibit will explore four ruinous events - the Spanish Flu, a raging downtown fire, a devastating flood, and an economic financial crash - which occurred very early on in Port Coquitlam' history.

Any one of these events could have spelled the end for the newly created City of Port Coquitlam, but the city's resilient spirit and persistence in the face of adversity carried them through these troubled times into a prosperous future!

The events are FREE, if you would like to join please RSVP at https://pocoheritage.org/calendar/.

We hope to see you there!

Volunteer with PoCo Heritage

We are looking to recruit new volunteers!

We are wanting to develop a lot of new museum events and programming (trivia nights, murder mysteries, movie nights, book clubs, and more!) as well as fun and interactive exhibits - and we could use your help!

If you are interested in sharing your creativity with us by helping to develop some of this programming please check out the four fun, creative positions below:

If you are interested or would like more information please contact Kanchan Lal, Museum Coordinator at info@pocoheritage.org

Book Donations

Our Little Free Library has been so popular that it is hard to keep it stocked with books!

If you have any books that you are willing to donate to the Little Free Library please drop them off at the PoCo Heritage Museum and Archives, Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

"Sarah and Michael Explore Port Coquitlam" Book Sale

We are selling copies of our collaborative children's history book in the PoCo Heritage Museum and Archives!

The books are $15 each, and this money is being used to create bursaries to further strengthen our community by helping to fund high school students who are interested in pursuing post-secondary education in culture, heritage, or the arts.

Return It Express
PoCo Heritage now has an account set up with Return It Express to get a return on drink containers; you don't even have to sort them! If you would like to donate your recycling to our account (every little bit helps!) please bring everything in a large, clear drawstring bag to your Return It location and give them our phone number 604-927-8403 at the kiosk. If you don't have the number handy you can choose PoCo Heritage from a list on the screen.
