A closer look at a cough drug
In a study of 75 drug compounds on SARS-CoV-2, the common over-the-counter cough suppressant dextromethorphan caused the virus to grow in test-tube research on non-human cells. But researchers said more tests are needed, especially in humans, before any definite conclusions. Read more

Suren Vaniyev marked two big milestones this week: he got to go home after weeks of coronavirus treatment, and he celebrated his 81st birthday. A virtual visit program helped him connect with loved ones during his long recovery. Learn more
