Champion Swimmers

Champion Swimmers

FPDS students recently participated in the Makos State Swim Meet, including (from left) Kimmons Sheppard, Reese Russ, Charlie Penny, Asher Reynolds, Evans Reynolds, Warner Russ, Piper McCalop, and Nan Sheppard. Fourth grader Evans Reynolds won all events in the 10 and under category and finished as both State Champion and High Point Winner. Fifth grader Warner Russ was a member of the relay team that broke the 200 Medley Relay record from 1984 in the 11-12 category.

Carr Calvert with Mr. Herring

Principal of the Day

Second grader Carr Calvert recently served as FPDS Principal of the Day. He declared a “jeans day” for teachers and no homework for the night for the whole school. Carr also excused all tardies that morning and assisted Mr. Herring with duties throughout
the day.

2016-2017 FPDS Board of Trustees

FPDS recently welcomed two new members to its Board of Trustees, Dr. Kirk Anderson and Dr. Julie Wyatt.

Kirk and his wife, Kortney, have two sons, both a graduate and a current student of FPDS. Kirk practices internal medicine with the Internal Medicine Group in Jackson, located at St. Dominic Hospital.

Julie and her husband, Chris, have four children, two current and two future FPDS students. Julie practices dermatology with the University of Mississippi Medical Center and is an assistant professor for the UMMC School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology.
