FPDS Launches REACH: Building for a purpose.

FPDS has launched REACH 2020, a school-wide giving initiative designated for a new multi-story building that will house a gymnatorium and 10 classrooms for our fifth and sixth grades. We encourage each of our Day School families to take part in this exciting journey. For more information, or to sign up to attend a Vision Event, visit fpds.org/reach.

STUDENT NEWS

Congratulations to our 2020 All-State Honor Choir members, from left, Jacob Pritchett, Christina Lee, Libbie Metcalf, Christy Rutlege, and Elizabeth Sweat. The Mississippi Association of Choral Directors sponsors the Honor Choir each year at their conference. Students try out and are selected from school choir members across the state.

Our third graders completed a dress-up Verb Vocation report, presented to their classmates.

First Grade 100th Day of School

Each year, fifth graders participate in a Shark Tank, making business presentations on an  original product for a panel of potential investors called “sharks.” This year’s winners were:

  • Reese Russ and Mollie Stansell for Shower Power
  • Bailey Bryant and Bernie Jones for Track-a-Deer
  • Caroline Conner and Blair Winscott for Speak 4 Me
  • Hensley Burns and Lily Grubbs for Pulling Paste
