Mother's Day is a day in my mind that always conjures up images of spring flowers, sunny skies, and bountiful brunches. May it be this way for you and yours and the mothers in your life!

If you are looking for some DIY Mother's Day activities or a gift guide, here are a few of ours.

#DIYMother'sDayHack1: Make your own Mother's Day cards.
Henriette chose to make multi-media cards; Audrey chooses to do something more traditional. Either way, a single card for the mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend, colleague, etc. in your life can go a long way on Mother's Day!

#DIYMother'sDayHack2: Make your own spring bouquet.
Whether you pick wildflowers from the great outdoors or snip a few from your garden, the bouquet need not be fancy. Again, a few flowers wrapped in a wet paper towel with a heartfelt card go a long, long way.

#DIYMother'sDayHack3: Bake for your favorite mama!
Does she love gluten-free braided bread? Good old-fashioned Toll House chocolate chip cookies? Everything in between? Home-baked goods are a great way to celebrate a mom in your life this Mother's Day.

#DIYMother'sDayHack4: Give her a gift that only you can give.
Our Audrey is becoming a Beatles maven on the piano; a DIY Beatles concert will be a perfect Mother's Day serenade as far as I'm concerned.

#DIYMother'sDayHack5: Give her time.
And if nothing else, give her the gift of time to herself this Mother's Day---whether on Mother's Day proper or on a future day!
