Happy New Year from the Bish

Dear friends of the Bish,

Welcome to our Christmas 2016 e-zine. The past term has been busy as ever as indicated by the many photos attached. We remember with fondness our former teaching colleague Maisie Dooley who passed away last month. May she rest in peace.

Our school talent show, the Bish Bash was excellent as usual with Francis Fallon" winning first prize with a self-choreographed dance routine. In the second place brothers Cathal and Donal Murphy sang their version of  'How to save a life'  followed in third place by Jade Baco and Gabriel Okocha with their version of 'Say you won't let go'.  Well done to Derek Cahalan and team for a wonderful show.

Five students were awarded a Pope John Paul II gold medal for service to their community. We welcomed many visitors over the past term and have completed our first year enrolment for next September.

We have also been awarded Ambassador status for next year’s Cycle Against Suicide when the Bish will become a major stage in May for this wonderful charity. Well done to Sarah Gleeson and her team of teachers and students. Orange is the designated colour for CAS.

Lots more to happen in 2017. Enjoy the photos.

I hope you all had a Happy Christmas and we wish you a peaceful 2017.

Ciaran
