County Recognizes EDRC for Outstanding Services

On May 4, EDRC was honored by the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Board with the AGENCY HERO. These awards are given to community agencies and members who have made an extraordinary difference in the lives of people with behavioral illness. Toni Tullys, director of County Behavioral Services; and board president Gary Miles presented the award to Janice Bremis for EDRC’s outstanding service and commitment that goes above and beyond the standard.
Our Partnerships in Action

EDRC works closely with other local and national organizations to bring help to our diverse clients. Recently, Community Solutions contacted EDRC regarding a ten year old with anorexia. The family spoke only Spanish, making an already complex case even more challenging. After connecting and hearing about this family's struggles, we worked with translators, healthcare professionals and organizations to provide this young girl and her family the options and the support they need. If you have a family member or friend struggling, always remember that we are here for you. We thank the partners who helped immensely in this case:

Your Donations at Work!

EDRC has been there for me and my family.  We attended EDRC’s parent support group held at the El Camino hospital every other Saturday. It was extremely useful to meet other parents going through similar challenges. Janice also helped me find a great therapist and a nutritionist for my daughter. My daughter is now making progress in her recovery, and I cannot thank EDRC and Janice enough for the invaluable support and help.

Why Donate to EDRC?
John Bingham, a long time donor, explains why he donates to EDRC:

EDRC helps people in need and their families, anyone that has issues with eating disorders. My friend and colleague has a teenage daughter who struggled with an eating disorder. He was worried the downward spiral she’d taken with weight loss would cost her life. I immediately connected him with EDRC. EDRC worked with the father to get his daughter the help she needed to recover. Janice and subsequently, EDRC helped my friend and daughter. It saved her life. That’s why I support the efforts of the EDRC.

His wife, Debi Bingham is a founding board member and EDRC's current treasurer. We cannot express enough gratitude to this extraordinary couple.
