A short note from our Managing Director:

Just four days before the Opening of the 14th M:brane, we took the hard decision to cancel the event. One year of preparations just fell to the floor during unusual and chaotic days. not many other or any forums and festivals were cancelled at that time, so we felt quite alone. However, we managed to -in hast- make online Pitchings and the RealYoung workshop. And our lovely Jury was subsequently able to select of Winner of the 2020 Pitch Award. Hurray!

It felt strange and sad not to be able to welcome old and new colleagues to Malmö and M:brane. But we received overwhelmingly many supportive and warm responses from understanding participants and collaborators. Well, a few ”It’s only a flu” were muttered, but that changed quite fast.
Now we are heading forward towards the 15th M:brane even if we still don’t know how the situation will be in March next year. There is a shift, absolutely, and now we are deeply involved in the planning of making a great event - again.

So keep your eyes open and we will share our news with you fluently as the process of giving new shape to M:brane 2021 will emerge step by step.

M:brane Pitch Training continues!

Producer Thomas Borch Nielsen, Nice Ninja, DK will again deliver Pitch Tutoring for M:brane.
Pitching is an artform and requires skills and lots of training!
In 2020 we were thrilled to be able to expand with pre-pitch training for the officially selected producers in the Pitch Sections. In 2021 we continue to offer this service for the Pitching Teams, as it is a unique possibility for strengthening their presentation skills, which in the end can “make or break” a successful outcome of attending the Forum. This M:brane initiative will contiously be a leverage of kids & youth content and status.
We are so pleased, that Thomas Borch Nielsen has agreed to work with our pitching teams prior to the Forum. We have witnessed Thomas’ own pitching skills at a number of occasions, where he pitched his own projects at the Forum Stage. And let’s be frank: We are in awe of his ability to make a strong, vivid, entertaining pitch that keeps the 5 minutes full of value. Beyond that, he is a seasoned trainer for international pitching teams and we welcome him again with widespread arms to the M:brane team, happy that he will work with our lucky Pitching Teams of 2021.
Dates to remember
We are back! Please mark your calendar for the 2021 Edition, that takes place in Malmö, March 16-18.
