Political conference at a crucial time

The STRING-organised Fehmarnbelt Days Political Conference "Green Growth – Region in Motion" on 1 October 2014 could not take place at a more crucial time.

This autumn, the Danish Minister for Transport will present the Construction Act proposal for the Fehmarnbelt fixed link to the Danish Parliament. The proposal is expected to be adopted in the spring of 2015. The decision will have immense implications and value for the STRING Region over the next decades.

Swedish Election with unclear result: New political administration in Region Skåne

The General Election in Sweden has resulted in a change of government with a precarious majority at both the national and the regional level. The change of power in Skåne will have consequences for membership of STRING’s political committee, Political Forum, on the Swedish side.

The STRING partnership initiates a short film competition for young filmmakers and students within the corridor from Skåne in Sweden over Zealand in Denmark to Northern Germany.

Honoring creative ideas that are under the term of „Tales of a region“ and giving support to turn these ideas into films.

The Lord Mayor of Copenhagen receives
Fehmarnbelt Days participants at City Hall

Political meetings, seminars, conferences, panel debates and speeches is not the only thing on the agenda – there is also ample room for networking and mingling. The Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen, hosts a reception in the representation rooms of City Hall for the participants of Fehmarnbelt Days. This is in relation to the City of Copenhagen taking over the rotating Chairmanship of STRING from Schleswig-Holstein the 30th of September.
