Great research project ... by Volkswagen

We teamed up with our CSR-Partner Volkswagen who commissioned a YouGov survey (n>1,000) on some of the most burning issues of road safety. The first topic of this survey we want to zoom in is related to child car seats

The key findings are:
* only 34% of parents who legally should have a child car seat, actually own one
* only 31% of those who do own a car seat 'always' ask their children to buckle up

Reasons for not buckling up children:
* 40% state 'My kids do not like to be strapped in'
* 29% state 'I am a safe driver and will not be involved in accidents'
* 24% state 'It's not needed on short trips'

We urge all stakeholders like education institutions, corporations and parents to take their responsibility seriously and to make sure to do everything possible to make sure children are safely strapped into proper child car seats!

Here is a great example of the media coverage in The National.

'Safe Timely Smart' ... STS for 3 great IPL cricket teams

The Staff & Tourism Services buses of our CSR-Partner STS are all set for the upcoming season of Indian Premiere League!

STS will provide transport to 3 IPL teams this year: Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab.

We have been working with STS being the industry leader for many years and their philosophy of ‘Safe Timely Smart’ certainly made the difference in getting awarded with this prestigious opportunity! Well done Team STS!

Road safety plan ... by Ministry of Interior (MOI)

Gulf News reports on the Ministry of Interior's national road safety strategy and here are some key points:

* road accidents are the single biggest killer in the emirates
* injuries have risen by 30 per cent and fatalities by 71 per cent
* worrying trend is a rise in accidents involving pedestrians.
* focus on an enhanced infrastructure
* many new rules and guidelines
* government and private agencies have been invited to work together

Check out the article in Gulf News and we are waiting for more details of the strategy and concrete tactics from MOI.

'Business Breakfast' on ARN Dubai Eye 103.8FM ... 'Back to School' live on air with RoadSafetyUAE

ARN having being a strong supporter of our cause for many years, invited us for 6-September to speak live on air in their 'Business Breakfast' show on Dubai Eye 103.8FM about our views on the reported traffic problems around the beginning of the academic year.

Many thanks to ARN and the leading media of the UAE for helping us raising awareness for our cause!
