Reframing the reality of road safety through art ... by OnStar
We teamed up with our CSR-Partner OnStar / General Motors to research, publish and amplify the emotional, physical and psychological outcomes of road accidents and we reported about the research and the publication thereof in 2 earlier newsletters.
Now, in order to amplify these findings and reframing the reality of road safety through art, six UAE-based artists were invited to illustrate the emotions of road traffic accidents using real life incidents shared by OnStar.
The six works by locally based talent aim to challenge the stigma around road traffic accidents, by evoking a real-world picture of a sensitive subject.
OnStar provided real life emergency calls and stirring accident visuals to inspire the works.
Unveiled at Infinity des Lumières, the works captivated audiences, through a multi-sensory visceral deep dive into the artist’s exploration of the road safety space.
Further supporting the community is OnStar’s partnership with The LightHouse Arabia, offering accident victims and their loved ones access to a webinar series as well as individual trauma counselling with a trained specialist as needed.
