eScooter safety ... still in the focus

We have covered the recent eScooter developments in an earlier newsletter and this week, ARN Dubai Eye 103.8FM 'Afternoons with Helen Farmer' invited us for a chat live on air. We reached out to TIER one of the 4 RTA-approved rental companies and one of the readers who commented on our on-line platform to get their views as well.

All the major media covered the latest developments with regards to eScooter safety:
GulfNews - Khalej Times - The National

In our opinion it is vital to see continued comprehensive efforts from all stakeholders to make sure eScooter riders protect themselves (helmet, reflectives, lights. speed) ride only in designated areas, expand designated areas, ride with respect to other road users and pedestrians and implement control/enforcement.

Hug strap ... a caring VW initiative

In 2021, our CSR-Partner Volkswagen Middle East partnered with us to conduct a survey of over 1000 UAE drivers about their driving style and behavior. One alarming figure of this research is that 40% of parents struggle with their children not wanting to wear their seatbelts. So together with our PR agency Houbara Communications Volkswagen developed the Dubbie & Baby Dubs Hugstrap, a fun addition to help kids want to buckle up!
At Volkswagen, safety is and will always be the main priority.

Continued strong support from UAE's leading media

RoadSafetyUAE's mission is to raise awareness for safe conduct on our roads. What better way than to collaborate with UAE's leading media? We are grateful for the strong and continued support our cause receives!

Here are 2 recent examples of Gulf News
An article from this week about how to stay safe during sandstorms / low visibility
An article about how to stay safe during the Eid break road trips, with great contributions of our CSR-Partner Michelin
