What is the goal of the Forum?
The primary objective of the Forum is to facilitate the establishment of a Burmese multi-stakeholder coalition that will work together to develop policy proposals to contribute towards the Government’s goal of providing affordable access to the internet for all of Myanmar's citizens.
The Forum is organized at the behest of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and in collaboration with A4AI's local partner, the Myanmar Computer Federation
Who will be there?
The Forum will draw together a wide range of key stakeholders, including senior officials from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology; representatives of other ministries and government agencies; telecom industry representatives; academics and researchers; civil society organisations; and members of the media.
