The Billings Ovulation Method™* is used by millions of women around the world. It was developed by Australian doctors, John and Evelyn Billings, validated by eminent international scientists and successfully evaluated by the World Health Organisation.
The method is easy to learn and simple to use, and once the natural signals of fertility are understood, the Billings Ovulation Method™ is confidently used to achieve or avoid pregnancy. An important side benefit is that this knowledge also provides information to the woman which safeguards her reproductive health. To learn more about Billings, visit www.WOOMB.org.
Dr. Robert Walley`s Report from Kenya, May 2014:
Meeting with Senior Assistant to the First Lady of Kenya and the Director of the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Program-
I am very grateful to Fr. Conor Donnelly for having arranged this meeting through his contacts. This meeting concerned the initiatives of the First Ladies of Africa. The Kenyan First Lady Margaret Kenyatta`s initiative is “A Strategic Framework for the Engagement of the First Lady in HIV Control and Promotion of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health in Kenya” The meeting was the Director of the AIDS Programme who, as an Ob/Gyn, is also the Director of the Maternal and New-born care Programme. They were interested in Project Isiolo, the 91% solution, the Charter of Maternal Rights as well as the future Obstetric Fistula treatment, rehabilitation and training centre at the MaterCare Isiolo compound. They were very interested in Project Isiolo and would like to meet again. We thank Father Conor Donnelly for his work on this, and for the dedication and interest of the leaders we met with.
-Dr. Robert Walley
Catholic Women`s League:
MaterCare is giving special thanks today to the Catholic Women's League (CWL) for their continued support.
The St. Peter's CWL in British Columbia organized a collection at the annual Knights of Columbus Mother's Day pancake breakfast at their parish.
"Each year, the Knights of Columbus serve the mothers of the parish a free pancake breakfast complete with sausages, whipped cream and strawberries. We thought this would be an excellent chance to educate the public [about MaterCare] and collect donations at the same time. We believe that MaterCare is doing a wonderful job and are pleased to assist in any way possible." -Agnes Geiger
MCI is eternally grateful to the women of CWL for their support and advocacy for women and mothers around the world. THANK YOU!

MaterCare International is grateful to our supporters from the Catholic Women`s League for their dedication and continued interest in MaterCare projects and initiatives. To assist CWL members in spreading the word about MCI, we have developed a handout for CWL members to share with their local chapters and at national meetings.
The comic strip, aimed at informing CWL members, is available to read, share and print here. CLICK TO VIEW.
