The Open House Picnic will take place on Sunday, September 16, at 11:30 am. Join us for the first day of Church School, at 9:00 am, followed by the Blessing of the Back Packs at the 10:00 am service. After church, we'll enjoy burgers, hot dogs, all the fixings, and a Bounce House!

Sign up to bring something on the easel in the Memorial Room, and bring a friend!

The church school teachers request empty shoe boxes. These can be brought to church when classes start up again in the fall, through October. They will be used for an Advent project.

Food Pantry Collection

Helps: Neighbors who visit the United Way of Tri-County’s Pearl Street Cupboard & Café at Park’s food pantry.

When: Ongoing

How you can help: Borrow a blue food pantry bag, with the needed items listed on it, from the food pantry area, by the office/ Harris Hall entrance. Purchase any of the needed items and return them to the food pantry area.

New Coupon Ministry

Several organizations in our community can use coupons from the circulars many of us receive in the mail or in the paper, even after they have expired. Please bring in your unwanted coupons and place them in the special tray near the food collection shelves. Join us as we experiment with a new way of helping others!

Thrivent Disaster Response
California Wildfires

Intense heat in the western U.S. has fueled several devastating wildfires. As of July 30th, the Carr fire in Shasta County of Northern California alone has burned more than 95,000 acres – claiming more than five lives, destroying at least 600 homes and causing the evacuation of nearly 40,000 people.

You can help those whose lives and livelihoods have been affected. And Thrivent makes it easy to do.

Thrivent will pay the processing fees to ensure 100% of your donation goes directly to help those in need. In addition, Thrivent Member Network-Pacific Sierra Region will match your donation dollar for dollar ‒ up to $100,000.

This matching opportunity will run until the $100,000 match is met or until October 31, 2018, whichever comes first.
