TNP 3rd Quarter News, 2016

TNP Database Underway

We are happy to announce that after much deliberation and insight from volunteers and coordinators, the new Tennessee Naturalist Program Database is off to a good start!  We have hired a team of experts to design and program the database and we are at the beginning stages.  There will be 3 administrative levels:  state coordinator, chapter coordinators and students.  Although there will still be some work required at all levels, this should greatly improve tracking and reporting for everyone.  Depending on the time to launch,  each chapter will be visited by Nancy Garden, State Coordinator, to help with implementation.  We are also considering including training at our next annual meeting.  Thanks to all who have offered input so far...we may be calling on your wisdom and expertise as we move forward.

Volunteers Needed ASAP

Audubon Acres, our Chattanooga Chapter, is in dire need of volunteers for their summer day camps for the next 3 weeks.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, they are short-handed and would greatly appreciate any assistance from TNPers.  This is a great opportunity to get some hands on environmental education experience.  Please contact Lynn Grabowski at lgrabowski@chattaudubon.org if you are able to help out.
