CEDA UPDATE JULY - Members and associates edition

Dear <<First Name>>

Winter has given us much to be grateful for this year! Snow falls combined with school holidays made a perfect combination for lots of visitors to our valley. Our Facebook snow updates were reaching almost 30,000 people a day on our page alone and our web traffic increased by 100% with most of that going to our 'Snow Update' page.

Have a think about how you can take advantage of the snow fever - a special or bonus offer, themed menu items, your warm inviting  fireplace, increased signage or displays that show off the items most needed for a happy day's play in the snow. We are the 'free snow' destination with no charge to be on the mountain and that is appealing for many families and first-time snow explorers.
Don't forget that the quickest and most reliable way to find out what the snow conditions are is via our Visit Warburton FB page and we are grateful for the daily on-the-mountain reports we get from Terry the Toboggan Man and Suyin Chan.
Every person that visits Mt Donna is stopping somewhere along the way to buy something and this is a great time to build goodwill for repeat customers throughout the year.

Our Strategic Planning session last month was a valuable exercise and the CEDA committee will be reconvening next week to continue the process. Thanks to those that contributed. I was impressed by the knowledge and passion in the room and can assure you there are some wonderful people in our community working tirelessly on what matters.

Thanks also to the members who have renewed their membership to CEDA. Your membership goes towards the operation of the Waterwheel Visitor Information Centre, our website and a range of other advocacy initiatives, and we are proud to represent our collective interests at local, state and federal levels. Help us help business and tourism by renewing now if you haven't already done so. You'll be contributing to something that benefits our region which in turns benefits you.

Kind regards,
Peta Godenzi
