Due to increased demand, I am continuing my classes over the summer. After hearing from one of my most dedicated churches that they were unable to attend because of pressing pastoral issues that had arisen, I was concerned that we might have a small turnout for our last class. Of course, God had other plans, and it was so good to see the new faces. Over half of our attendees were first-timers. Praise God!

Dear Friend,

You probably already know some of the statistics about Reading:
  • Identified as the nation's poorest city after the 2010 census
  • identified as having the worst-funded school district in the nation in a 2016 Rutgers study
  • having over 70 Latino churches (that we know of) in the city, pastored by incredibly dedicated, gifted and called individuals who have little or no access to formal training for biblical preaching and theology
  • having a Latino population of 65% – which is the highest of any city in the nation.
Many times I feel overwhelmed at the size of the task and the level of resources I can dedicate, but your generous prayer and financial support is a huge motivator! Thank you!

Blessings in our risen Lord Jesus,
Mel
