If you have a residential phone line with Primo at home, or are considering getting one in the future, please make yourself aware of the following important information.

111 Contact Code

The 111 Contact Code is to protect consumers who rely on their home phones to contact 111 emergency services in a power cut. The code boosts awareness of this so that you can take steps to ensure you aren't caught short in an emergency - such as using a generator or battery back up to maintain power to your home phone or by ensuring you have access to a mobile phone  You can read the full code here.

Your Primo phone requires a power supply to work, meaning it will not work in a power cut, without an independent power source. 


If you or someone in your household is at particular risk of needing to call emergency services for health, security or disability reasons, and you have no alternative means of contact, you may qualify as a vulnerable person and we are required to provide alternative means to you at no cost.

We have further information on our website about what devices and technologies are impacted during power cuts, alternative means to call 111 emergency services, provisions for  "vulnerable persons", and how to contact Primo for more information or disputes.

Please share this with all members of your household that are (or future) users of a Primo home phone (landline) at your address.
