Dear <<First Name>>

What a very successful "Voyage of a Lifetime" Gala Lunch.
Our Guest speaker Sandra Pankhurst and forner voyager Joanne Liddell spoke passionately about their life experience and reinforced the benefits of the Alma Doepel Youth Sail Training program for youth at risk.
Hot topics today include mental health support, homeless youth, drugs and alcohol abuse, youth gangs and crime.
Funds raised at the lunch amounted to $49,977 This figure was made up of ticket sales, sponsorships, auction items and donations.
This is an outstanding result and the best result in the four years the lunch has been running.
The lunch was made possible by the commitment of our sponsors and we are very grateful to them for being a part of the day.
We say a  huge thank you to all our sponsors who made the “Voyage of a Lifetime” Gala Lunch possible:
Major Sponsor
Our Supporting Partners
City of Melbourne,
Development Victoria
and SeaRoad Ferries who all once again supported this event as they have done in previous years.
New this year is the Small Business and Community Partners,
AWA Alliance Bank,
InThync Professional Training,
Alphaxo Risk Partners,
Flexi Personnel,
Snap Dandenong South
and Eyes on Docklands for being a part of the lunch.
Special thanks to Peter Hitchener for being our MC once again. Peter has been our MC at all our lunches and does a very fine job.

Thanks to Sandra Pankhurst for giving her time to tell her story and reinforce  the positive effects Youth Sail Training has on young people’s lives.

Thank you to Joanne Liddell, a former Youth Sail Training Voyager, who told of the impact her experience on Alma had on her life. Joanne has written a song about Alma and this was played at the lunch.

$1.7m raised
$1.3m needed to complete the project
With the Gala Lunch funds and other recent donations still to be reckoned, we still need to raise between $1.2 - $1.3 million dollars to complete the job.
So many people have already donated so much to this project and we have come a long way - we couldn't have done it without this support.

There is still more to do, and it will be worth it!
Lets start by raising the funds needed to replank Alma and have her ready to go back in the water.

If 500,000 people were to chip in 1 dollar, that is what it would take to get the hull back in the water.

Don't let that hold you back from donating more!  You are welcome to contribute more and be the equivalent of 10, 50 or  even 100 people all at once!
Remember $500 buys you a plank and a dedication.

Joanne will give away her song on a CD to the first 100 donations of $50 or more!
