In this issue we look at the hive of activity going on down at the shed as the restoration team work hard to get the hull back in the water by March 2109.
Now is a great time to visit the restoration shed along North Wharf Rd because there is much activity going on, as the final frames are tailor made and fitted so the planking can commence.
Guided Tours every Tuesday between 12noon and 2pm.
You interested in helping with the restoration?
There is much work for volunteers too. If you are interested in working on the restoration there are plenty of tasks for anyone to get involved. such as sanding, demolition, painting, doweling, cleaning up plus a myriad of admin type roles.

Contact us if you are interested..
Volunteers are welcome to help out Thu, Fri and Sat 10am-5pm.

How You Can Help

Alma Doepel Chronicles
The Float Alma In 2018 campaign has reached $371,074 towards the $800,000 needed to get the hull back in the water.
In total $1.8m has been raised by our supporters, 60,000 volunteer hours have just been passed, and countless donations of services and materials have ensured the original budget of $3m has been maintained.

This level of support has made this project possible and the Alma Doepel Restoration team is very grateful for the ongoing support by so many.
This month witnessed the number of volunteer hours passing 60,000 hours
For those interested here is the breakdown since 1st February 2009

$1.8m raised
$1.2m needed to complete the project
How you can help.
The Alma Doepel Restoration project still needs to raise $1.2 million dollars to complete the job.

So many people have already donated so much to this project enabling it to come a long way. The project has also received much in-kind support through donation of services, materials, tools and labour.  The project has come this far because of this support.

There is still more to do, and it is worth it!
Funds are still needed needed to complete the re-planking of Alma's hull so she can go back in the water.

The maths is simple! If 400,000 people were to chip in 1 dollar, that is what it would take to complete the hull back.

Everyone is welcome to contribute more and be the equivalent of 10, 50 or  even 100 people all at once!
Remember $500 buys you a plank and a dedication.
