When we launched our automated solution Convert-a-Link earlier this year, we knew it would help to simplify the process of creating and implementing links across new and existing content. However, we could not have predicted the astonishing results some of our publishers have seen since using the tool. In our latest case study ESI Media, the publishing company behind the London Evening Standard and the Independent, saw an 122% increase in clicks and 114 % increase in sales with the John Lewis programme alone after implementing Convert-a-Link. UK advertisers and publishers are eagerly anticipating Black Friday, the largest trading period in the UK retail calendar. However, there is an event that dwarfs this, and most of the UK may not even be aware of – Singles Day. This year saw Singles Day break all previous records, with China’s largest e-commerce retailer, Alibaba, generating £9.4bn worth of sales. What's more, across our network UK advertisers saw a YoY sales growth of 109% compared to Singles Day 2014, indicating a new fixture on the UK retail calendar. Check out our full report here.

If you missed out on maximising sales for Singles Day, fear not - Black Friday is right around the corner and with sales hitting a record one million over the four days during the Black Friday to Cyber Monday period last year, there is a similar outlook predicted this year. Optimising your web content for SEO: Part Two

CONTENT.

Content is the real clincher when it comes to getting your website seen by internet searchers. Very little influence is attributed to keyword density within web page content and so it is wise to consider other things when writing your website copy:

  • Choose an interesting subject for a webpage or blog post
  • Research and investigate the subject thoroughly
  • Produce content that is valuable to your audience
  • Ensure that all article content reaches or passes 400 words
  • Create relevant headings and sub headings for paragraphs
  • Try to divide the content into small paragraphs, of a few sentences, or bulleted lists
  • Create text links to other similar pages on the site and on other sites if necessary
  • Make the page easily shareable on social networks

Above all, enjoy creating the content on your site. If you do so it will shine through and your users will engage with your passion and the passion translated into the content you create!

I think there may be more of a lap over between affiliate marketing and social. Ie: everyone has the ability to sell each others brands successfully through social channels such as Twitter – the possibilities are endless! I also think white-labelling will become more and more popular.

Good communication and support is important.
