Congratulations to several of our staff members and our organization on being recognized for their tireless efforts on behalf of our community!

CEO Barbara Finkelstein named one of Hudson Valley Magazine's 2016 Women in Business

Barbara Finkelstein oversees every aspect of Legal Services of the Hudson Valley (LSHV). Since she became Executive Director in 1995 and later CEO, LSHV has increased its operating budget by almost 650%, to $15 million, and has grown the staff to a size of 130 in eight offices in seven counties. Barbara is the first woman to lead the organization. Barbara’s accomplishments on behalf of LSHV are many. Motivated by a desire to make justice a promise for every member of society, she has created partnerships with governments, community-based organizations, and law schools to ensure solutions to the problems facing the low-income population that LSHV serves. With the organization's 50th anniversary coming up in 2017, she has positioned LSHV to continue making a difference in our communities for decades to come. Barbara will be recognized on December 8 at Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls.

Congratulations on this great honor, Barbara!
