Dear All,

We had our second Lancet Commission on Global Surgery meeting in Freetown, Sierra Leone on June 19-20.  We had an incredible turnout, with representatives from 28 countries.  Click here for a list of attendees, including their bios, as well as the full agenda from the meeting. The majority of invitees were stakeholders and providers from Sub-Saharan Africa. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the work of the Commission over the past five months and to develop consensus recommendations on a variety of key issues.  Our writing team has begun the process of piecing together the 25,000 word document.  Thank you to all of our contributors!
Thank you all very much for your dedication and continued efforts.  The ability to move forward would not be possible without your support.
