 The AfroSphere is a place for unity, self-expression and empowered motivation. 
Philadelphia, PA-The Artvolution Cultural Innovation Project presents a special night of interactive global arts and unique design marketplace bringing together contemporary live music, art, dance, and fashions of the African diaspora on October 19th, 7pm-11pm in the  Museum’s awe-inspiring ancient Egyptian Gallery and Chinese Rotunda. Light fare and cash bar. This event takes place at Penn Museum, 3260 South St., Philadelphia, PA  19104. Featured performers and presenters include Visual Artist, Poet and Philanthropist Danny Simmons of Rush Arts Philly, World Renowned Saxophone Virtuoso James Carter, with a stirring rendition of the Negro National Anthem, Lift Every Voice and Sing.  Violinist/Vocalist Owen Brown Jr.,The Goree Project from Senegal, plus the Community Drum Circle.  Discover some of today's leading performing and visual artists from various countries, working in various genres presenting African-inspired design trends in fashion, accessories and home decor.
