Daughters for Life monthly email.

We must start the New Year by thanking our generous donors for giving a gift that lasts a lifetime! With our #GivingTuesday and End of year online campaign alone, we have raised $10,300 CAD for the Daughters for Life’s 2016 educational programs!
We are so grateful, and honored, to get your support during the holiday season. It is wonderful to know that there are so many who aware of the value of educating young women, and who will put some of their hard-earned dollars towards making our world a better place through the power of education. See how we put your gifts to work here.

We are dedicated to assist deserving female students from the Middle East with post-secondary education, including travel, tuition, accommodation, and food.

Daughters for Life scholars are blooming here and there!

Early this month, three of DFL scholars at New College of Florida, Loureen, Diana, and Simona, were invited  to do a presentation and a panel discussion  at Pineview high school club " Peace Jam", where they have talked about the Daughters for Life Foundation's mission and story as well as their experiences.
They have also answered questions included issues about social justice, the Syrian crisis and the role of Daughters for Life's scholars in that, world peace and the role of youth in it. They have also taught them "Dabkeh" that they performed together in the class.
Our scholar, Mayar Tharowat, has participated recently in the WISE conference in Toronto, “Women in Science and Engineering”. Mayar is a DFL 2015 scholar who studies Physics at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, ON.
“I'm grateful to get this great chance as a scholar for Daughters for Life Foundation to improve myself as a scientist woman. Being the only first-year student among third and fourth year and even graduate students in the poster competition, opened my eyes to a higher level and filled me with eager to work harder,” commented Mayar on her experience.
Commemorating the 7th Anniversary of Bessan, Mayar and Ayah's tragedy that took place on January, 16th, 2009.

"I SHALL NOT HATE" Play is now on The Mosaic Theater, DC from January 23rd to February 14th, 2016
