Hello Eagle Crest Families!

My name is Amanda Holden and I am so excited to be taking on the principalship at ECES!  I am currently a principal in Bayfield, CO, which is outside of Durango.   As we ease into the end of the school year, I am looking forward to joining the Eagle Crest community.

For me and my family this truly feels like coming home!  Although we have been living in the southwest corner of the state for the past three years, our home is truly Boulder County, and we are excited to be closer to our extended family and community.  At the moment we’re in the tornado of packing, moving, and saying goodbye to the dear friends and sweet community we have created out here in rural Colorado.  And yet, in all the hustle and bustle, we are so thrilled to be making our way back to our roots. Our two children, Brady (6) and Alex (2) are thrilled to be closer to their cousins, and they are excited to start school in their new neighborhood.

One of the aspects I admire most about ECES is the community school feel and the focus that staff and families have on student-centered learning and growing.  In my early talks with staff it is clear that they work super hard to meet the needs of all learners, and that they are invested in making our school a warm and joyful learning environment for everyone.  I know that we have a culture of family involvement and support in our school and I am ready to dive in with all of you to continue this good work.

We are moving at the beginning of the summer and I plan to be around the building during the Project Launch summer program in June, and of course in August as we gear up for the school year.  My greatest hope is that I will get to know students and families and form relationships that help us to continue to support our students to shine!

I look forward to getting to know you and your children!

Warmly,

Amanda

Make-A-Wish Colorado & Silver Creek High School!!

My name is Julianne and I am a junior at Silver Creek High School. I started the Wish Week fundraiser at Silver Creek High School to help Make-A-Wish Colorado in its efforts to grant life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Their mission means a lot to me because I am a Wish Kid and want to provide the joy for other kids like me that a wish provides. Due to covid everything will be online this year, so there's no worry of people getting sick!

Wish Week starts in one week and this year we are doing all our events online!
Wish Week starts on April 25 and ends May 1 and will aid Make-A-Wish Colorado in its efforts to grant life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Over the week we have six different events, Running for Wishes (4/25), Pie in the Face (4/27), Trivia Night (4/28), a Tik Tok Matching Event (4/29), a Scavenger Hunt (4/30), and May Day Baggies that we will deliver for you on Saturday 5/1! All the information for the different events is included in the links in our link tree (https://linktr.ee/silvercreek.wishweek)! We also have two restaurant nights. On Wednesday, eat at Noodles and Company on Hover and make sure to mention us and 25% of your bill will be donated back to us! On Thursday, it's the same procedure but now it's at Raising Cane's and 15% will be donated back! The flyers are attached below with all of the information! This year our goal is $7,500 - the average cost of one wish! All donations help and are very much appreciated, even little ones!
If you have any questions feel free to email silvercreek.wishweek@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as possible! Be sure to also check out our Instagram (@silvercreek.wishweek) and Facebook (Silver Creek Wish Week) for more in time updates!
Thank you so much for your support and we look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
The Silver Creek Wish Week Team
