We need your help!

Students are beginning to arrive without masks and our supply is dwindling!  Please remember that students need to come to school with a mask on and should have a spare in their desk.  Please refer to the information sent out from the district regarding this matter.  We sincerely appreciate your help with this matter.

All students will wear face coverings while at school. We know that wearing a face covering all day can be difficult, especially for younger students, and we will plan to schedule appropriate socially-distanced breaks.
  • If a student is not able to wear a face covering at school, they will need to remain in the fully-remote learning environment.
  • For elementary students, please ensure that your student has at least two face coverings for the start of the school year. One will be kept at the school in a ziploc bag marked with their name in the event they forget their face covering. The other will be worn each day during school hours.

 Online Learning Policy

As stated in the letter from our superintendent, we have three educational options available to parents. Our goal is to have students back for in-person learning and want parents to understand that if you choose to stay online at Eagle Crest, it will look different from our past hybrid or online model.   With more time being spent with students in-person, our teachers will have less time to focus on virtual students.  Here are the options that were laid out:

  1. Return to in-person learning at the school Monday-Thursday (with the teacher driving the instruction).

  2. Stay on-line (with the parent being responsible for ensuring the student is engaged, attending, and completing all assignments).

  3. Move to LaunchEd, the district online learning program (with support from the LaunchEd teacher).

IMPORTANT

There is no longer the option to go back and forth between online and in-person learning.  Short absences, medical appointments, weather decisions to stay home (unless the district has determined a snow day), and trips do not have the online option. You will, however, be able to access online learning if you have been asked to quarantine or self-quarantine for an extended period of time.

Please pick the one option that works best for you with the expectation that you will remain in that option until spring break.  At that time, we will reevaluate the situation with our health officials.

Weather Information

At Eagle Crest, students go outside for recess when the weather is 15 degrees or above.  Please have them dressed appropriately for outside play.

Upon arrival, students still line up at the outside doors and are dismissed through those same doors. Make sure you have discussed meeting spots with your child as they tend to be confused on bad weather days.

Traffic can be a bit congested on rainy or snowy days, so please allow ample time to pick up your students.  Parents can park on Clover Basin and walk to drop off/meet their children.

Start time is 8:35 am and dismissal is at 3:10 pm.

HEALTH OFFICE DONATION NEEDED

The health office is in need of gently used boys' underwear and pants.   Thank you!
