Banns for Ordination

Mr. Patrick John Salah is to be ordained to the Diaconate for the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth on August 15, 2020 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, Halifax, NS. Please remember him in your prayers. Canon Law obliges Catholics to reveal any impediment to Sacred Orders to the bishop or pastor.

The Witness of Our Giving

"When we were first married, money was sporadic as Dave was self-employed, so giving weekly often meant giving whatever was left over, but we never felt this was right. Why should the Lord get our leftovers when all we had was His in the first place? So we decided to pray about how we should give financial support to the church. The answer was clear. Tithing a set amount would let us budget our giving and put the church higher on our priority levels of spending."
