From our Board President

Dear ACT Friends:

As you heard last week, ACT Executive Director Susan Harper retired as of October 8th. There are no words to fully express our deep appreciation for Susan and her endless hours of leadership at ACT for the past 16+ years. The staff and board members of ACT would like to host an event to celebrate Susan’s retirement and to show our gratitude for her many years of service at ACT. We know such an event should be an in-person event and will bring a large crowd, so we want to wait until the Spring of 2022, when – hopefully – we will have the pandemic behind us. So, keep your eyes out for an announcement later this year for a grand event in honor of Susan! ...

Clue Opens Friday Night!

October 15-November 7, 2021
Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm; Sundays at 2:30 pm
Performed on the Mainstage

On Friday night, our long intermission comes to an end when we open Clue! This comedic murder mystery is heavy on the comedy - and we are ready for it! Director Jeff Catanese knows good comedy (he previously directed Avenue Q and Spamalot for ACT) and he wants you to sit back, relax, and laugh.

"Slamming doors, prat falls and goofy one-liners are pushed to the forefront, so that, after a year-and-a-half hiatus from the stage, we can reteach ourselves how to just take a break and allow ourselves to laugh loud and hard for no other reason than it's funny," wrote Jeff in his director's notes.

Audiences will be required to wear masks at all times while in the building. Any audience member(s) not willing to wear a mask will be asked to leave and their ticket(s) will be refunded. Read our full COVID policies here.

Performances of note:
  • Sunday, October 17: Q&A Matinee - Post-show talkback with cast and crew. Stick around after the show for this!
  • Friday, October 22-Sunday, October 24: Audio Described Performances with audio description provided by DASI (Descriptive Audio for the Sight Impaired)
  • Saturday, October 30: ASL-Interpreted Performance with ASL interpreters located near the stage. Seating has been reserved for deaf and hard of hearing patrons that will give the best sight lines to follow the interpretation and the action on stage.

YPC:Youth Production Classes

November 6-14, 2021 * Various performance days/times
Performed on the Mainstage

We tried something new this season! Our Youth Production Classes are also working on Clue (using a high school edition of the script that is shorter and has various other amendments). They are using the same set, props, and lighting cues built for the Mainstage production - and the kids in these casts are super excited about it!

We have three different casts (2 high school casts and one middle school cast), so if you're coming to see someone specific, we encourage you to double check with their family for the right date and time. But if you're just coming to see awesomely talented youth take the stage, you can definitely choose any performance!
