Nunsense A-Men! in 35below

January 11-27, 2019
Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm; Sundays at 2:30 pm
Performed in 35below

For her directorial debut at ACT, Sarah Fowler chose an excellent show and promptly cast it with an all-star group. Sarah has been the music director for many a Mainstage musical, teaches with our classes and camps, and has even sung a lead role for an entire show from underneath the stage in the pit while conducting an orchestra and playing the keyboard. She's got serious chops!

For Nunsense A-Men! she's behind the ivories - and look who she's put on the stage: Greg Austin, Mark Jones, Corey Link, Robert Pompeo, and Andy Thompson. A more fabulous five-some would be hard to find!

About the show: When the Little Sisters of Hoboken – comprised of a former circus performer, a wannabe ballerina, a streetwise nun, a sister that’s lost her mind, and an overly ambitious second in command – discover that their cook, Sister Julia Child of God has poisoned 52 of their sisters, they must raise money to bury their dead. Think Mrs. Doubtfire goes to the convent for this delightfully funny and heartfelt show.

This show is performed in 35below - and seating is extremely limited! Get tickets now before they're all snapped up!

A musical version of the 1984 film! When teenager Ren McCormack moves from Chicago to a small town, he isn’t prepared for the stifling local laws, including a ban on dancing and rock music instituted by the local preacher. As he struggles to fit in, he encourages his classmates to defy the local pastor and call for a rock’n’roll prom. Fist pump!

Footloose combines songs from the hit 1984 soundtrack with dynamic new songs - and though it might seem like just a lot of fun, it also celebrates the wisdom of opening minds and listening to the voices of young people. Director Jerry Crouch, music director Linda Shuler, and choreographer Tina Pisano-Foor have put together a cast of students and adults from the community to bring Footloose to life!
