Final Weekend!

Through November 18, 2018
Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm; Sundays at 2:30 pm
Performed in 35below

“A feat of writing and acting, as well as direction ... Tom Huey’s insightful dramedy gives Michael Lilly a terrific opportunity to showcase his talents in the intimate 35below space.” - Edwin Arnaudin, Asheville Stages

"a riveting performance — as funny at times as it is heart-wrenching at others" - Jeff Messer, Mountain Xpress

Here's the story: On a hot August night, an inebriated Jimmy Wharton stumbles into his backyard to converse one last time with the larger-than-life father he laid to rest earlier that day. As he works his way through their often fraught relationship, Jimmy ends up face-to-face with his own shortcomings in this colorful, comedic and poignant play written by award winning NC playwright Tom Huey.

The Man in the Bright Nightgown (as W.C. Fields' referred to death) stars Michael Lilly and is directed by Brenda Lilly. This is a beautiful and moving piece - catch it before it closes!

These Broadway Bootcamp Showcases are such a fun way to see theatre education at work! The result is a brand new mini-revue! Performed by students ages 8-12!

Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm * Sundays at 2:30 pm
Performed on the Mainstage

Folks loved this sweet, heartwarming holiday show so much that we're bringing it back! We're also so excited to welcome so many newcomers to our stage!

It's Christmas Eve in 1955 at a small town train depot where the snowy weather has caused some delays. Over the course of the evening, strangers become friends, friends become family, and the warmth of human connection is deepened through stories and songs. Though the weather outside is frightful, inside the depot it's delightful as memories of Christmases past are shared. Written by local storyteller and musician Tom Godleski and performed with original music and traditional songs by local bluegrass musicians. Directed by Lori Hilliard.
