Alice in Wonderland

April 5-21, 2019
Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm; Sundays at 2:30 pm

Performed on the Mainstage

"We wanted to make the book come alive, a heavy responsibility, and there's not a word in the play that's not Lewis Carroll's." - Playwright Eva Le Gallienne, from a NY Times interview.

Adapted in 1932 from Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, this version of Alice in Wonderland is a true page to the stage adaptation! All the familiar characters are here for Alice's journey through a tea party, a croquet game, gardens and forests: the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, and more! Our cast of 25 features both children and adults - and it's a show that's meant to be enjoyed by both children and adults!

That said, the show is a full-length play with an intermission, so keep that in mind if you've got little littles who may not be ready to devote that much time to sitting in the dark! (our Saturdays at ACT series is PERFECT for the littlest theatre goers!)

Opening Weekend Events (included with your ticket purchase!):

  • Friday, April 5: Opening Night with pre-show champagne in the lobby!
  • Saturday, April 6: Sweet Saturday with pre-show chocolates in the lobby!
  • Sunday, April 7: Q&A Matinee with post-show talkback with cast and crew!

Upcoming Auditions

April 8-9, 2019 * 6 pm to 9 pm

For 10 hard-luck Texans, a new lease on life is so close they can touch it. Under a scorching sun for days on end, armed with nothing but hope, humor and ambition, they’ll fight to keep at least one hand on a brand new “hardbody” Nissan truck in order to win it. In the hilarious, hard-fought contest, only one winner can drive away with the American dream. Based on a true story (and 1997 documentary of the same name)!

We're looking for 9 men and 6 women for the cast of Hands on a Hardbody. We've posted character descriptions and audition material on our website. Auditions are open to all in the community; no previous experience required.

Hands on a Hardbody is directed by Jerry Crouch with music direction by Lynda Shuler and choreography by Shari Azar.
