Staying connected and in community during this unprecedented time -
The story of the ghost light: Created as a tool to keep folks safe - from falling off the stage, mainly - the ghost light has become a metaphor for theatre's ability to be light in the darkness, understanding in an incomprehensible world.

The ghost light on our Mainstage shines on!

Thank You for Sharing!

“Our son is really enjoying gathering with his theater family virtually. It definitely gives him hope and brings him joy.” - ACT Parent
At ACT, we are continuing to hold several online classes for children. Casts are still meeting weekly in Zoom. Costume Shop Manager Carina Lopez has sewed masks and other PPE for so many in our community, and has empowered our volunteers to do the same. We have expanded our online programming to share skills, highlight talents, and feature stories and memories. We are committed to connecting with our community.

Weekly Spotlight: Listen to This Goes Digital!

Thursday, April 30, 2020 * 7:30 pm
Performed via ZOOM

One of the silver linings of doing Listen to This as a digital performance is that folks near and far can join in - storytellers, songwriters, and audience members! We were excited to realize that last month when we had folks from Massachusetts, Idaho, and Vermont join up with us in Asheville!

This month, the theme is The Deep Clean - Stirring Stories of Straightening Up and features stories by Mary Birdsong (Reno 911!'s Deputy Kimball), Maryedith Burrell, Joe Carroll, and Jill Summers plus a song from Rod Murphy. As always, Listen to This is hosted by the very charming and very funny Tom Chalmers.

Tickets are $15.00 and you'll receive a custom Zoom link in your confirmation email. We hope you'll join us live tomorrow night!

Your Support is Needed!

We know the children in our programs cherish the connections they make with their peers, even when they cannot be together in the same room. Online programming has become an incredibly necessary social and creative outlet for our children during this isolating time of social distancing.

We appreciate everyone who has made a donation to ACT to help us continue this programming, and we ask you to consider joining them. If you can, please click the donate button and help us continue to connect our community.
