That guy...
I've had MTV on the brain this week. The good MTV. You know, in the eighties and early nineties, back when it was still cool, and I was still young.
It started on Friday when I found out some guy donated his ENTIRE VHS collection of MTV recordings, everything he had from 1981 to 1989! If reminiscing about the early days of what was the coolest-channel-on-the-planet is your jam, get yourself a login and head to the Internet Archive. I suggest starting here. (Hullo, I hadn't remembered that Andy Warhol was in The Cars' "Hello Again" video!)
As if that wasn't enough nostalgia, this past Sunday, I was a guest on a podcast that goes through TV shows scene by scene. Its hosts and I talked through the first episode of the first season of The Real World. You guys! It was 1992 and those "seven strangers"? They're now 50-ish, same age as me. True story. I'll, for sure, share more info about the podcast and its link when it's ready.
