Reopening St. Stephen's :
An Important Message from Pastor Rob
May 18, 2020
Greetings Brother and Sisters in Christ,
Even as our area remains under Gov. Northam’s stay-at-home order and the property of St. Stephen’s remains closed for gatherings and on-site worship, ministry teams at St. Stephen’s Church have been having conversations and making preparations for opening up. We will be working with the Virginia Annual Conference plan to open our building and return to onsite worship. The Virginia Conference plan was just released on Thursday afternoon, and you are encouraged to view and read the Conference plan at If you have suggestions, please send them to me. We have several teams who are working toward opening up, and we will communicate and over communicate the plan for St. Stephen’s Church to you. Our goal will be to have a plan full of grace, so no one is harmed.
In Christ,
Rob Robertson

St. Stephen's Paw-sonal Assistants

With social distancing and the closing of the church building, the staff of St. Stephen’s Church has been working primarily from home. As we have been learning new ways to Receive, Reflect and Relay Christ , we've been assisted by our loving Paw-sonal  assistants.  Yes, that right, not personal, but Paw-sonal  assistants, typically the four-legged kind!  We are starting a new page on our website  featuring these loyal companions who continue to bring us joy and comfort during these challenging times.  Our first  Paw-sonal assistant to be featured is Rubee, who supports Pastor Rob and Carolyn Robertson. To read about Rubee, please visit St. Stephen's Paw-sonal Assistants
