Library Notes
Come Meet our New Library Director
(Sunday, 10/4, 2:00-4:00 PM, Stedman Room)
The Friends of the Library would like to invite the community to come to the library to meet our new library director, Evelyn Neale!

This will be a chance to not only meet Evelyn, but to also meet the Friends and hear about what is in the plans for the future of the library and the Friends. See you there!
Friend's Book Nook and Volunteers

The Friends of the Library Book Nook at the Farmers Market in The Crossings Park has come to a close for the summer season.

We would like to take this time to thank all the volunteers who have made this possible. We also had very good teen volunteers whose help was invaluable over the summer.
Become a Friend of the Library!

Membership is available at many levels:
  • Individuals $10
  • Families $15
  • Seniors (60+) $8
  • Business memberships $250
Checks made out to “Friends of the William K. Sanford Town Library” can be sent to: William K. Sanford Town Library, 629 Albany Shaker Road, Loudonville, New York 12211.

Our Circulation staff will also passing out information on joining as well.
Mystery/Suspense Book Group Canceled for October

October's book, "No Mark Upon Her" by Deborah Crombie, will be discussed for the November meeting.
Holiday Hours

The library will be closed Monday, 10/12, in observance of Columbus Day. We will re-open Tuesday, 10/13, at 9:00 AM.

Their theme will be The Great American Songbook and International Cabaret.

Some of the composers’ songs you’ll be hearing include Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Duke Ellington, Edith Piaf, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and more – all performed and interpreted in Sonny and Perley’s own inimitable style!

Noon Author Talk I: David Pietrusza

David’s new book is titled: "1932: The Rise of Hitler & FDR Two Tales of Politics, Betrayal, and Unlikely Destiny".

Mr. Pietrusza is the author of such books as "1920: The Year of Six Presidents", "1948: Harry Truman’s Improbable Victory"; "1960: LBJ vs. JFK vs. Nixon", "Calvin Coolidge: A Documentary Biography".
