Come to MotoFest this weekend and join in the fun!
If you know anyone who has children, why not invite them to HOPE@MotoFest's free face painting and children's crafts stall THIS WEEKEND at MotoFest on Greyfriars Green? Worship will be led by Rob Halligan and others from across the city. For more details, contact angusormes@yahoo.co.uk.
City of Culture 2021 - next steps
Calling all creative Christians in Coventry!

Are you youthful, creative, positive or ideas focussed? If so, we need your voice!

Coventry churches have a lot to offer our city for its celebration of culture in 2021, but we need to start planning and thinking up ideas. Hosted by HOPE Coventry on Thursday 13th June at 7pm, this workshop is an opportunity to meet together to suss out opportunities to contribute to the City Of Culture 2021. We will be discovering and proposing what we all have to offer that celebrates our creative God.

Please confirm attendance by marking yourself as 'going' on the Facebook event or by emailing jess@hopecoventry.org.uk. Don't forget to invite anyone else you think could contribute!

Our aims will be as follows:
1. Hearing of ways to contribute to City of Culture 2021
2. Identifying your creative gift and how it can be used?
3. Consider becoming part of the celebration that is 2021
4. Connect with people and build partnerships
5. Create ideas and approaches for 2021
6. Develop proposals and next steps

This workshop is for over 18s but you may well have connection to youth i.e. 11-18s. The venue is the Henry Fry Centre, Hertford Place, CV1 3JZ.

Other ways you can get involved in City of Culture 2021

It was great to see so many Christian Leaders from across the city gather at the Leaders' Lunch to focus on how we can be involved with City of Culture 2021 and inspiring to hear from Martin Sutherland  what the City of Culture Trust have shaped and developed so far. He was suitably impressed at what churches and Christian organisations together have achieved!

We have  started to look at the ideas that were produced during the lunch and will progress those more soon. We want to support the ideas that churches can do very locally in your communities and explore what we can be involved with across the city.

As well as attending the above meeting, there are some things that you can do to help keep involved in this:

Social Media
You can follow and contribute to the discussions on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram of Coventry2021 and HumansofCov. If you add the hashtags #coventry2021 #thisiscoventry #humansofcov to your own social media posts, this raises the profile of what you're currently doing and that the culture of Coventry is to worship God and be involved in social action. You can follow HOPE Coventry on social media platforms too - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and tag us in posts.
