Dear friend...

Coming up VERY soon is another City Praise & Prayer event which is a fantastic chance for the church of Coventry to come together and worship God. How incredible to have so many people from across the city praising Jesus? Make sure your church doesn't miss out on the adventure!

When? Sunday 29th March at 6.30pm
Where? Christian Life Ministries (CLM)
(The Welcome Centre, 47 Parkside, Coventry, CV1 2HG)

City Praise & Prayer is a gathering for Christians, regardless of denomination or ‘stream’, to lift up the name of Jesus in praise and to pray together for Coventry. The last event, which took place in November, was attended by nearly 900 people from over 70 different Coventry churches.

Praise and worship will be led by musicians and singers from a number of different churches, and prayer and intercession will be led by Bishop Christopher and a number of church leaders. The whole service will also be broadcast across the city on Radio Plus, 101.5FM.

Wow – This is definitely one to highlight in the diary!

God bless,

Tucked away down Priory Row sits an idyllic place filled with the presence of God. It's known as the Coventry Prayer House and approximately 120 people pray there each month.

The centre celebrates several preferences of prayer and worship with a variety of rooms embracing different styles and specific focuses. The comfy lounge style cafe is also a great place for young people and unchurched visitors to feel welcome.

"The presence of peace is always in the Prayer House and it has a calming atmosphere which I believe relieves stress for everyone who visits. I found myself becoming more tolerant of people I find difficult to get on with since spending time regularly with God in the prayer house." – T.B

There is so much happening within the Coventry Prayer House and they are constantly looking for ways to expand. I'm sure there are also many ways you and your church could get involved. You can find out more by clicking here.
Radio Plus is running a free 6-week media training and employability course from Friday 6th March.

The course is aimed at 16-24 year olds who aren't in education, employment or training. The media side is extremely practical and introduces participants to new software, techniques and a chance to operate and present in a working radio station. New skills are built alongside invaluable employability support, which includes CV development, interview skills and workshops in motivation and confidence. The course is delivered by two qualified tutors who run two sessions a week for six weeks.
