Dear HOPE members,

I am very happy to announce that we have moved forward and hired an accounting firm to do our bookkeeping, financial reports and taxes.

For HOPE there are so many advantages of engaging professional services. I have provided excerpts from their proposal that outlines their service and introduces our account manager, Danielle Martin, CPA.

WHAT ARE THE KEY POINTS THAT ALL MEMBERS NEED TO KNOW?
  • As outlined in their proposal we are using a few programs to streamline our processes
  • Quicken Online (we already used this service)
  • Bill.com which is a bill paying service that provides direct deposit to your banking account. The wait for check processing is 10 to 14 days once, but the direct deposit is 24 hours.
  • Please note: once I approve a reimbursement you will get a notice from bill.com so they know where to direct deposit the funds. This is similar to Zelle. If you have questions, please call me and we can walk through it.
  • If you do not want this service when you get the bill.com email, contact me and I will work on sending a hard check instead.
  • Expensify was recommended for expenses, but we declined this service at this juncture because of the monthly service fee of $5 per person per month. That would be for each, and every member so not cost effective.
There may be some transitional hiccups so if you have an issue, please contact me and we will iron out all the wrinkles.
