Soon, you will be able to find new terrain for adaptive ski lessons as Mount Baldy launches their new adaptive ski program in conjunction with BC Adaptive Snow Sports, People In Motion, and the PowderHounds Adaptive Ski Program from Big White Ski Resort. Next season will be the first season that BCAS will run a CADS (Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing) course at Mount Baldy in order to train new volunteers for the program. With NCAA March Madness fever sweeping across North America, there’s no better time to check out People In Motion’s Wheelchair Basketball program. With two practices a week and trips to provincial and national tournaments each year, Kelowna’s local wheelchair basketball team is a great place for youth and adults to meet new friends and travel. Should you need a sport wheelchair, PIM offers sport wheelchairs for adults and youth to get you started. If you are interested in participating in our program, please call the People In Motion office to schedule a meet and greet with our players.

Join Cool Arts Society for a celebration of their new, larger studio at the Rotary Centre for the Arts on Friday, March 9 from 5-7 pm.

The event will include a showcase of work created by Cool Artists, a speaker’s program, and light refreshments.
