CareNights Goes to the Movies
On 23 November, volunteers from The Bank of East Asia brought the CareNights children to see the new Frozen II movie. The children were drawn into the enchanting story of Anna and Elsa and their charming friends. After the movie, they enjoyed lunch at Swensen's and sang the songs on the bus all the way home. The outing was kindly sponsored by The Bank of East Asia.
Walking In Your Shoes
In September and October, our centres held the annual "Walking In Your Shoes" parent-child bonding event. Parents learned how to better understand and connect with their children by "walking in their children's shoes". They would put their skills into practice by spending Special Time with their children designing canvas shoes, which they brought home as a meaningful reminder of seeing the world through another's lens.
71 New Volunteers Onboard
Through Volunteer Briefings, 71 new volunteers were recruited to support CareNights. The volunteers went through Induction and Common Sense Parenting® training to equip them to better care for the children. This is a 16% increase from last year's 61 volunteers. Thank you for your continuous support.
