On Friday 23 August, parents joined their children from our CareNights programme in a meaningful parent-child bonding session. Families painted rocks together to symbolise how parents are the strong foundations for their children even in challenging circumstances, and children for their parents likewise.

We ended off with a birthday celebration for the children and our volunteers and cheerful families brought their beautifully painted rocks home for keeps.

On Saturday 31 August, Morning Star had our first VolunTeh KopiTime volunteer appreciation event to say "Thank you" to all our volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Volunteers had a blast chatting over a delicious high tea spread at Grids & Circles and making meaningful conversation through shared experiences.

Channel NewsAsia followed Linda, single mother of six children, three of whom attend CareNights. Linda cares for her mentally ill sister in their rental flat and has little time for respite. Linda could not afford to send her children for tuition, but now at CareNights, they receive academic coaching from our dedicated facilitators and volunteers.
