Case study: Establishing catagories for efficiently procuring vihecles in the region of Kronoberg

The region of Kronoberg, set the ambitious target of transfering 75% of all business travel related fuel consumption, directly linked to their carpooling service, to renewable fuels by end 2018. Through a successful collaboration between the procurement unit and the environmental department, the organization has already managed to cut down on CO2 emmisions and established a higher demand on renewable fuels in the region.

Article: Holbaek Municipality leads the green way 
Holbaek succeeded in realising all of the compulsory energy savings as one of the first municipalities in Denmark. This has inspired Holbaek to establish a number of ambitious goals within green transition. When it comes to reducing CO2 emissions, Holbaek is a proactive player especially due to the cooperation with the publicly owned energy company, SEAS-NVE, and the role as coordinator on the European project, PRIMES.

Article: Fruitful exchange of GPP experiences

During EUSEW in Brussels, PRIMES project partners arranged a seminar focused on green public procurement, where several ongoing EU-projects were presented. At the end of the session the participants joined in a panel discussion exchanging thoughts and ideas on how to support municipalities in greening their procurements, taking steps toward to a more sustainable society.

New Guide for sustainable energy within COOPENERGY Project!

In the last three years, different methodologies for collaborating well on energy initiatives in partnership have been tested by the project partners across Europe. As a result, a guide with some of the best methods of partnerships (Multi-Level Governance mechanisms) has been published!

Article: Streetlight-EPC

The European project "Streetlight-EPC" is creating demand and supply of street lighting refurbishment with EPC projects in 9 European regions notably by setting up regional EPC facilitation services ("helpdesks") which are providing one-to-one support to both municipalities and SMEs as potential ESCOs.
