In Memoriam
Remembering Ken Dixon

The MAYLA community lost a great coach this past Wednesday, August 14th. Ken Dixon positively impacted hundreds, if not thousands, of people and is survived by his family.

To borrow from the late Stuart Scott, former sportscaster and ESPN anchor, “[w]hen you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live.”

Ken will surely be missed.

Request for Officials
Our Officials Assignor, Randy Kohn, has submitted a request for officials; specifically, an average of three new officials per program.  It is likely no surprise that there is a shortage of officials.  Adding to the ranks will positively impact scheduling, play, and the lacrosse community at-large.

There will opportunities to learn the game as well as the rules and role of the official along the way.

Please contact Randy with any questions.

The officials shortage is all too real.  Annually the retention rate is 40%.  That means we lose 60% of our officials each year!  Please help us work toward increasing the pool of certified officials.  Our schedule, the safety and future of our game depends on it!
