We want your weekend to be fun filled and stress free so we've put together some easy to follow Route Guides laying out different options. The schedule outlined is to maximize the different tours, tastings & happenings at each location.

SATURDAY ROUTE GUIDES

agVENTURE Tour
Enjoy this suggested route that takes you from lavender field,
to horse sanctuary to olive oil grove.
This is a super sampler of 3 very unique farms.

Start at:
Hambly Farms  

Discover your senses at this new family lavender farm. Join the farm tour and bundle harvest.

2nd Stop:
Redwings Horse Sanctuary

Redwings walking tour: Learn about their rescue program & why it works,.  Meet their ambassador horses, Primo and Little Bit. 

3rd Stop:
The Groves on 41 

Tour their groves of Spanish Arbequina & Greek Koroneiki, taste their award winning oils, & check out Irish Oaks Ranch’s Pop-Up demos of small batch goat milk soap making.

Kiddos: Both BIG & Small

Young & old, big & little, kiddos of all ages & sizes will enjoy this suggested route that takes you from getting your hands dirty on an urban farm to letting your agriCULTURAL inner Picasso out to learning about horse rescue ending with a tasting at an olive farm.

Start at:
City Farm SLO  

Learn about regenerative agriculture, visit sheep & chickens, go on a taste tour, & pick up some delicious organic vegetables to take home. 

2nd Stop:
The Shady Oaks Farm

Tour the farm, hang with their mini’s, learn about their goat breeding program & more! Studios on the Park  will be on-site to guide the kiddos through a goat themed coloring project.

3rd Stop:
Redwings Horse Sanctuary

Redwings walking tour: Learn about their rescue program & why it works, meet their ambassador horses, Primo and Little Bit.

4th Stop:
Olea Farm 

Wrap your day up with tastings & sampling of their olive oils & other fit for foodie finds in their shop.

FIT for Foodies
If you LOVE food and like to meet the farmers that grow it, then this is your tour!  From sheep dreams, honey pots, fresh garden greens, artisan vinegars, all finished off with biodynamic wines-
THIS is your tour!

Start at:
Rêves de Moutons  

Sheep Dreams Farm Tour: Meet their flock of sheep, herd of goats, guardian Donkey Oatie & chickens. Make sure take a cruise through their salad garden!

2nd Stop:
Sierra Honey Farm 

Enjoy honey tastings from the jar & the frame, and check out their extraction demos. Life Elements will be on-site with handcrafted healing body & skincare products to sample and try.


3rd Stop:
Nature’s Touch Nursery

Learn about growing your own food, Seeds To Table via their nursery tour.  Sample freshly harvested fresh fruits, veggies, honey & more.

 

4th Stop:
Chaparral Gardens  

End you day with a stroll through this beautiful organic farm.  Sample delicious tastings of artisan vinegars & balsamic with fresh farm stand produce.

SUNDAY ROUTE GUIDES

Family Fun
Get Creative.  Walk the Farm. Get your Goat. 

There is family fun for all ages on this tour through history and family farming.
 

Start at:
Dallidet Adobe & Gardens   

A California Historical Landmark featuring beautiful botanical & produce gardens. Studios on the Park will be leading kiddos through a garden coloring project.

2nd Stop:
Talley Farms 

Tour this multi-generational family farm that grows, produces and curates our county's largest CSA program.  Learn about their organic growing practices and how their program works within our community. 
 
3rd Stop:
Giving Tree Family Farm  

Get up close with all creatures great and small at this family farm. Tour the pastures and mingle with the goats, alpacas, heritage breed birds and pigs.

TOUR.TASTE.LEARN. about everything from palate to plate on this tour.

Start at:
The Groves on 41

Experience a demo of bundle dyeing, then bundle dye your own ribbon to take home.  Learn how the colors infuse the ribbon in a solar bath. Plus a pop up shop of Couleur de la Vie’s creations.

4th Stop:
Hartley Farms 

Taste through their Gourmet Organic Jams, enjoy Leo Leo Gelato gelatos & sorbetos, then check out Dawn Diovera’s jewelry with a purpose.

Join us as we kick off our 2nd annual Open Farm Days at this special evening of gather, sip and graze on local fare, while viewing local artists being featured at this FARMstead Art Exhibition.  The artistic talents of the Farmers & Makers from the SLO Co Farm Trail will also be showcased.  Tickets $35

Can I bring my dog?
These are working farms, so dogs (and other pets) are not permitted.

What about COVID?
State / County COVID protocols will be in place.
Farms and activities are all outdoors along the trail.
